Meetings and Events
Chapter Meetings of the Charleston Chapter are usually held at 2:30 pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month (with some exceptions for holidays). There are no meetings in June, July or August. Please check the events calendar to verify whether a meeting will be virtual (participation via Zoom) or will be held in-person.
Board Meetings of the Charleston Chapter are usually held by Zoom at 7:00 PM on Thursdays, but dates vary so please check our events calendar below. Contact any board member if you would like to participate or have a topic to discuss at a board meeting.

Chapter member Lynn Baker will present Researching the National Archives and Records Administration
The National Archives and Records Administration (aka NARA) is the original source for most of the U.S. Government information that is available to genealogists, including federal censuses, military records and many more collections. Learn how to use the NARA databases to search for these records yourself, including some images that are not identified in the databases of the “Big Four” genealogy web services. Also learn about how many government records are still waiting to be digitized.
The meeting will be conducted via Zoom (not in person). Guests are always welcome so please CONTACT US if you are not yet a chapter member and want to participate via Zoom.
